Blossoms in the tree
Food for cheeky parakeets
Bring petal snow storm
I wanted to capture the transitory moments of joy that blossoms bring.
I’ve written a haiku for each image. Haiku is a form of Japanese poetry that seeks to capture in words the emotional experience of impermanence in nature.
This same sense of fleeting transition is expressed – but in an urban setting in my painting of times square at dawn, the moments between night becoming day.
