Ross’ work examines our relationship with nature in an urban environment, found and recycled materials lead the work, forming a visual language, developing their own character, embracing the flaws, while exploring their beauty, inviting us to view things in a different way.
Recent work considers the legislative erosion of civil liberties, the environment and the acceptability of violence perpetrated by fundamentalist ideology. The flagrant use of misinformation, creating fear and hate. The importance of protecting human rights inform his concerns.
