The landscapes of Southeast London, the Drome (France) and the English coast and countryside form the main themes of Olivia’s work.
She often focuses on architectural and structural forms of the city around her. Her paintings emerge through on- and off-site sketchbook drawings and paintings and still and moving digital images. Sketches use charcoal, ink, acrylic, watercolour or pastels.
Her work is mostly on paper. Within individual works or series, she tends to use a narrow palette, drawing on a wide range of tools and techniques to develop textures and layers.
She has recently begun a series of autobiographical sketches and paintings – work in progress.
Olivia is a member of the Royal Watercolour Society and exhibits regularly at their Bankside and Whitcomb Street Galleries. She has also exhibited recently in galleries in Yorkshire, the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition in 2023 and 2025, Discernining Eye and Society of Women Artist Exhibitions.
