Non’s eclectic approach to painting involves ranging freely over as wide a variety of techniques and mediums as she can discover. She experiments to find appropriate ways to capture and represent selected subjects. Awareness of colour balancing, texture and mark making are critical.
In a recent series of works, she explores the many different facets of images originally captured as single 2D pictures by the camera lens, layering acrylics and conte pastel on different weights of raw linen and on stretched canvas.
