The pieces in Mickey’s “Blob Series” start with a random shape. Sophisticated manipulation of water and pigments are used to generate blobs of lights and darks. Colliding or overlapping several shapes produces additional forms with varied hues. While working around the initial shape, she configures other shapes to create balance and harmony.
