Jonathan Armour

An enquiry into the body and the human condition, the “humanesque”, is at the heart of my creative practice. I have a fascination with the skin, which I see as an interface between the person within and the world around us. Skin of Light captures the fleeting, tactile conversation between two bodies separated by a semi-permeable boundary. Created through a unique collaborative performance with Wolfgang Woerner, the work redefines the act of painting from a solitary gesture into a shared, physical negotiation. Liquid Lens was similarly born out of a previous collaboration.
