Working predominantly in traditional woven tapestry, I constantly strive to expand both my weaving skills and knowledge of my chosen subject. My greatest love is the sea and coastline, and I walk, scramble and swim in search of seaweeds that inspire me. A sketchbook devotee, my recordings underpin my designs, alongside research into species, environmental importance and the impact of human activity. My Algae studies may have roots in Victorian botanical illustration, but my practice and objectives are entirely contemporary.
